Mike obtained a BSc and PhD in synthetic organic chemistry from The University of Sheffield before completing post-doctoral studies and becoming a lecturer at Trinity College Dublin. Mike was appointed Visiting Professor at the Université Catholique de Louvain (Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium) and has recently finished a 7 year tenure as Director of Medicinal Chemistry in Trinity College.
